Choreography and Corporeality working group, 7 et 8 aout 2011, Osaka, Japan,

We are writing to invite you to next year’s Choreography and Corporeality
working group meeting in Osaka, Japan, as part of the International
Federation of Theatre Research’s annual conference.

The theme for next year’s conference is Innovation, Tradition, Community. It
will be held between 7th and 12th August 2011 at Osaka University. All the
working groups are scheduled to meet on 7th and 8th August 2011. We hope you will join us for discussion, whether you intend to present work to the main conference or the working group.

New This Year : The organisers of the conference have asked everybody
intending to give a paper at the conference or as part of the working group
to submit an abstract by 31st January 2011. This means submitting an
abstract via the conference website (call for papers) :
http://www.firt2011osaka.org/?page_id=125

The working group coordinators for the Osaka conference will forward your
abstracts to us if you nominate the Choreography and Corporeality working
group. They will not inform us if you present work to the general
conference.

So, could we please have a show of hands to see who is interested in coming
to Japan next year ? We would love to see you again and to have you
participate in the discussions. We will surely meet some new colleagues in
Japan, witness some Japanese performance while we are in Osaka, and eat some wonderful Japanese food.

As always, we are more than happy to issue a formal invitation for funding
purposes. Just let us know and we will send you one.

Looking forward to hearing from you, with news, questions or concerns.
Please respond directly to defrantz@mit.edu and P.Rothfield@latrobe.edu.au.
